Raptim celebrates its 66th birthday

Beautiful cakes and smiles from around the world

On 13 April, Raptim Humanitarian Travel celebrated its 66th birthday around the world – our first birthday as a global group under one name. The special occasion was marked by tasty cakes in our offices around the world. And nice sparkling wines made our first joint birthday together even more festive.

A lively series of Facebook updates soon followed, showing beautiful cakes from around the world, each with their own individual touch – just the way we like it.

“Happy Birthday Raptim! 66 years of amazing work! We are so proud,” Dawn Ruthven at our Abbotsford, Canada office wrote along with a picture of a beautiful cake that was decorated according to the new Raptim color scheme.

The African version of the Raptim birthday cake was adorned with chocolate slivers and strawberries. “It was soooo sweet,” Roselyn Sanganyi at our Kenya office reported.

"If anyone is wondering if the cake was nice at our Tilburg office: here's the cake just 20 minutes after we cut it," staff member Bart Van Elderen wrote as a caption to accompany a picture of a near-to-empty cake dish.

Jason Bontrager, operations manager at our Texas office, revealed a hidden talent by home-baking the most impressive cake of all. He sidelined professional bakers around the world by baking a beautifully shaped cake with Raptim-colored layers on the inside. “It’s a hobby I quite enjoy,” Jason commented. And one that left a lasting impression on his co-workers around the globe.
