Marketing coordinator – NA [Closed]

We are  looking for a passionate and experienced  Marketing coordinator for North America  (ideally located in Grapevine/Texas)

 

Summary

The Marketing coordinator is responsible  for creating and delivering marketing ideas and activities. Concepts and creates marketing materials, manages projects, and ensures messages are consistent. Supports development and implementation of Raptim’s internal and external communications strategies.

Working in close collaboration with Global Communication Manager and Communications Coordinator Europa & Africa, Global and Local sales teams and external stakeholders

 

Key responsibilities

  • Actively and creatively contributes to development and execution of internal and external marketing strategies
  • Build brand awareness within our niche and the travel industry as a whole
  • Manage website to be better and more measurably impactful, up-to-date and frequented communications tool; oversee the sites’ content-management systems and analytics.
  • Create content for communications tools and platforms including newsletters, collateral and social media
  • Develop, maintain and expand internal and external networks to support Global Communications’ work and impact.
  • Prepare and manage multiple marketing calendars
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver marketing (communication) campaigns
  • Support social media efforts, including developing and posting content, monitoring social activity, and managing metrics
  • Serve as a reporter and writer who keeps abreast of Raptim’s and the broader field’s news & trends and strategically propose and develop text-based and visual content  (articles to blog and social media posts to video storyboards and other reports)
  • Develop liaisons with media representatives and journalists
  • Handle enquiries from journalists and other media contacts and preparing, writing and distributing press releases and news
  • Arrange, organize, and market events, interviews and press conferences.
  • Monitor and track media coverage of the organization

  • Performs activities that contribute to the achievement of communication goals and objectives
  • Manages own work volume and priorities
  • Manages relationships with vendors, partners and media
  • Independently resolves issues to achieve goals
  • Works across teams and departments (travelling part of the job)

Qualifications

  • Good balance of self-assurance and the ability to listen well with a sense of humor
  • Commitment to Raptim’s mission and core values
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in similar role
  • Culturally sensitive and global outlook
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (English)
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Public relations and media experience
  • Interest and professional experience with social media platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Careful tactician, with a keen eye for accuracy, context and detail
  • Creative in suggesting (innovative) visualization and delivery of content
  • Interest and ability to keep abreast of activities in the broader and global field of humanitarian work.
  • Previous experience in travel or NGO/humanitarian business is a plus
